 2016 FALL SCHEDULE 

After School Program

Monday-Friday @ 2:30-5:30 pm

 

        TRY IT FREE FOR 1 WEEK 

 

We have developed a training system that allows each member to customize their training daily. By following our simple guide every day is a unique workout tailored to you as an individual.

 

How it Works

We post exercises and movement patterns based on the 5 key elements of athletic training;

 

1. MOBILITY & CORRECTION

2. SPEED & AGILITY

3. CONDITIONING

4. STRENGTH

5. PLYOMETRICS

 

You, the athlete then choose the exercises you want to focus on that day aka, your Training Method or, "TM". Your TM can be based on factors such as; time of year, personal goal or when your next game or practice is. 

 

Not sure how to start, no problem. choose from a preselected TM that our trainers have selected called the "Coaches Choice"

Player Specific Principles

Wednesdays (weekly) @ 6:00-7:00 pm

Congratulations, you recognize, that a random workout of the day, circuit or a boot camp is not going to result in making you a better hockey player.

 

We distinguish our workouts considering specific factors hockey players need to address on and off the ice to reach their maximum potential;

 

IN SEASON TRAINING CONCEPTS

 

Conditioning - taking into account in season demands

Active Recovery - feel your best next practice/game

Mobility - to minimize injuries and have a greater ROM

Balance and Stability - to stay strong in any situation

 

Learn:

  • Proper technique to manipulate force

  • How to add explosive power to your game

  • Critical hip, groin and back hockey specific warm routines

  • Mobility patterns that can be done at the rink

  • How to safely build strength in season

 

Learn why our specific 'Skater' program will take the place of your old circuit training workouts immediately.

Goalie Specific Principles

Mondays (weekly) @ 6:30-7:30 pm

We know that goalies have unique requirements:

  • Goalies are constantly moving laterally

  • They are required to execute with a single explosive movement

  • They must learn to move their upper body and lower body independently of one another

  • Precise movement patterns

  • Engage eyes and head in very specific positions

 

It makes perfect sense that goalies should train differently off the ice. CA's goalie Specific Principles addresses concerns such as:

 

  • What is Femoracetabular Impingement and why you should care

  • Learning to move your body as a unit

  • Driving from your hips

  • Explosive lateral movements

  • Core and glutes to ensure your stance is rock solid 

 

Complete Athletics has the advantage of shaing the same building as the Complete Goalie Development. We communicate with our on ice coaches and leverage our relationship to ensure our dry land training transfers to saves on the ice.
